Baked Macaroni & Cheese
This classic dish never fails to put a smile on my family's faces. I make it on a Saturday afternoon because it is delicious and requires very little time to make.
This is also one of my favorite cheat meals. I'll sometimes buy the cheese already shredded or make the sauce from a package instead. Feel free to cheat, too.
Ingredients

-
1 package of macaroni
-
3 cups of shredded cheese (we like old cheese)
-
1 package of cheese sauce (here's my big cheat)

1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese
-
2 cups of breadcrumbs
-
1 tsp each of Salt & Pepper
-
1 tomato
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350 F degrees
-
Boil macaroni until almost cooked, 2 minutes less than the package instructions
-
Drain the macaroni and rinse with cold water
-
Grate the cheese
-
Make the packaged cheese sauce or if you must, make a roue
-
Add half of the well drained macaroni to your casserole dish
-
Pour half of the cheese mixture over the macaroni
-
Cover with half of the shredded cheese
-
Sprinkle half of the bread crumbs over top of this mixture
-
Add the rest of the well drained macaroni on top
-
Cover with the rest of the shredded cheese
-
Pour the rest of the cheese mixture over the macaroni
-
Sprinkle the rest of the bread crumbs over top
-
Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top
-
Slice a tomato and place around the casserole
-
Cover and bake in the oven for 30-45 minutes until cheese is melted and the edges are browning
