The Bloedel Conservatory
The Bloedel Conservatory is a true gem inside the city of Vancouver. It is a small and lush paradise filled with tiny creatures, parrots and other birds and plants and trees. There are a myriad of items to cast your gaze upon in wonder.
The Conservatory is located at the highest point in Vancouver in Queen Elizabeth Park. The view of the city is fantastic!
Following the path around the conservatory, if you are observant, you may see a few critters scampering about. Was that a door mouse? Perhaps, it was a pixie? I would not be surprised to learn that there really are pixies and that they live right here at the Conservatory. There are several abodes and modes of transport waiting to be utilized by a potential pixie.
A parrot just flew right over my head. It's the middle of winter and I am in a tropical paradise. The leaves quiver in a small orange tree next to me on the path and I peer inside to see a tiny bird, almost camouflaged. Can you see him, too?
A water wheel and small ponds add to the charm surrounding me. Please don't rush me. I want to daydream here.
