My native cousin,  a former chief, expressed pride in me for bringing our daughters to live on the reservation.  He was proud that I shared the true beauty of the native culture and gave the girls a love for the land of their ancestors.  I'm very pleased to have given them not just a connection to that part of their ancestry but also to all parts of their non-native heritage.
