Strawberry Jam Hand Pies 

Strawberry Jam Hand Pies taste just like pop tarts only better!  A cheat recipe from Our Four Suitcases...you will love how easy these are to make!

Ingredients

  • Makes 1 dozen hand pies

  • 2  9" frozen pie shells

  • 1/2 cup of sugar

  • 1/4 cup of cinnamon

  • strawberry jam 

Instructions

  1. Defrost frozen pie shells

  2. Preheat oven te 350 degrees Fahrenheit 

  3. Cut 8 circles from the dough using a 3.5" diameter glass 

  4. Roll out the remaining dough and cut out another 4 circles

  5. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl

  6. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over each circle

  7. Spoon 1/2 a teaspoon of jam into the centre of each circle

  8. Fold each circle in half and press the edges closed with a fork dipped in warm water 

  9. Sprinkle more cinnamon sugar mixture on the top of each hand pie and lightly press into the dough

  10. Bake in the oven until browned on the edges, a little jam should be leaking out
