G is for Geocaching
If you enjoy treasure hunting and travel then this is a hobby that you can enjoy anywhere in the world. There are an estimated 3 million geocaches. Players are given GPS coordinates to help them locate and find a stashed item that they retrieve for themselves. The searcher then replaces the item, logs their initials into a cached logbog, then replaces the item with one of their own. This is a real world quest for the gold or whatever trinket has been hidden for you to find. There could be a geocache located right in your neighborhood. Download a geocaching app today to start searching for cached treasures.

T is for Travel
T is for Travel
Travel becomes a hobby when you find that you are planning your next vacation before the one you are on is over. You're in good company with this hobby. World travelers are literally, everywhere. Want to make new friends, experience different cultures and see things you don't get to see every day? Then travel is the hobby for you!
U is for Ultimate Sports
U is for Ultimate Sports
Ultimate and Extreme Sports offers the thrill of often fast-paced and dangerous activities. Ultimate frisbee, water-skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, parasailing, mountain climbing, sky diving, bungee jumping and a ton more of these type of "place your life in danger" activities give the brave (read slightly crazy) individual an adrenaline rush that is hard to match until the next extreme activity. Taking up any of these sports is an addictive hobby and there are tons more of this type of sport to choose to try. Personally, I can vouch for bungee jumping which is TOTALLY AWESOME!! A TOTAL RUSH!! (Oops, my 80's slipped out, pardon me) Try any extreme sport to perk up your day! (for sure)
V is for Volunteering
Type "volunteering " into google and you are going to be swamped by a host of volunteer opportunities not just in your own neighborhood but across the globe. Everything from teaching English abroad to walking animals for the local pet shelter is going to pop up. You literally have your pick of the litter or picking up litter to choose from as a volunteer activity. Make a habit to volunteer and get your family in on the fun and good feeling that comes from giving back.
W is for Wine
Wine making, wine tasting, beer making, spirit making, the home brewing hobby is one that has become a lucrative business for plenty of home brewers. Classes on home brewing are offered by community colleges as night classes and home brewing suppliers are equally as wise to offer instruction in this popular home hobby. If you are making that brew out in the bush and in a still then you are home brewing on a whole different level and I doubt it is a legal one. Stay legal and stick to the beer and wine making and you won't have to worry about some federal agency not taking a "shine" to you.
X is for Xeriscaping
Xeriscaping and guerrilla gardening are the extreme sports of gardening. Xeriscaping is creating a landscape that requires little watering or irrigation and is loaded with drought resistant vegetation. Guerrilla gardeners are much like tagging (street graffiti) artists. They both sneak into an area and ply their artistic talents to create a new visual landscape. I doubt that guerrilla gardeners run the risk of fines or charges, for adding pretty flowers and plants to an area, as long as they are not trespassing.

Zombie walks are a chance for you to slather on fake blood, wear ripped up clothing while sporting wild hair and frightening make up then walk through the city streets. There are many zombie walk enthusiasts! Join the fun and get in on walking!
